CLAIM: Mitch McConnell falsely claims that Matt Bevin lied about attending MIT.

FACT:

Mitch McConnell invented this claim and knows that it is untrue.

FACT:

Matt never claimed to graduate from, have a degree from, or attend MIT.

On Matt’s LinkedIn profile, however, it is noted that from 2006 to 2008 he attended and completed the EO/MIT Entrepreneurial Master Program. It is an annual program that started in 1992.

Matt’s profile clearly states, as it always has, that this was an “executive education program.”

FACT:

After the program’s completion, Matt received a certificate that you will notice reads several times: “EO/MIT Entrepreneurial Masters Program.” You will also notice under the second signature, it says “MIT Enterprise Forum.”  It is also easy to see that this is not a diploma.

FACT:

This EO/MIT program is one of several educational programs listed on Matt’s LinkedIn page. They are listed, by LinkedIn, from most recent to oldest based on the year of completion/attendance.

CLAIM: Matt lied on his resume.

FACT:

Mitch McConnell presents no details to back up this claim (i.e. A copy of the supposed false resume or any indication of who the resume was presented to.) This is because the claim is entirely false.

FACT:

Matt works for himself and has not had a resume since he was 26 years old.
